For my Google Reader I have 5 websites. The first website was Educational Technology. I chose that website because I thought it would come in use with school work and possibly with I.T. work. The second website is Tech Learning RSS Feed. I chose that website is because different applications that we are using in I.T. are incorporated into this website. For example, there is a tutorial video of how to use Voice Thread. The third website is English as a Second Language (ESL) Podcast - Learn English Online ». I chose this website because I believe that it is a cool website with it's value of a English as a second language. The fourth website is Word of the day. I like this website because it has a new word you might have not known about. Now you learn a new word everyday. The last website I chose was French Word-A-Day. I like this one is because if you do not know French, you can always learn a word on the website. Google Reader can save you time by saving websites. For example say you have a set of websites that you have on Google Reader then you forget them, you can easily go back to Google Reader and find them.
I think Google Reader is reasonable. I think it is reasonable because it helps you with websites, but it also at the same time is confusing. I think Google Reader great as well. Gmail has many great features to, but I am going to share a few in this video. First, you can use search to an email quicker and easier. For example, here I am in my email, say I want ot find my email about Unit 3: Exploring Google Education Apps. I can go into the search box here and type in the word Alex ( teacher who sent me email). Then it will come up with her email. Then press enter and it will come up with all the emails she has ever sent me and the one I wanted. Also you can make labels to be more organized with Gmail. If you go over here and press more then go to Create New Label, a white box will come up. In that white box you enter the name of your Label and if you want you can have a Sub Label underneath. Once you are done you press create. If you want to make the label a color, you go to the label and press the arrow over here and then chose a color. Lastly, you can enable different gadgets in Labs. You go to this button and then click settings. After you go to Labs, you scroll down a look at all the choices. When you are done scroll all the way down and press save Changes. Thank You. i Google is where you can add different gadgets. If you want professional gadgets you can make a tab on the left hand side and name the tab School or Work. For my i Google page I have three different tabs. One is my Home Page tab. The other two tabs are for School and Fun & Games. First for home page I wanted it not to be crowded with so many gadgets so I have a couple such as Date and Time and sticky note. The other reason why I have only couple on my Home Page is because I wanted generally welcoming gadgets for the Home page such as news, etc. Next for my School tab I have a lot of gadgets but not too many. For example I have my school related gadgets such as Gmail, Google Docs, and more. I set that School tab the way it is is because those gadgets our what I use in school so I thought it would be great to have a gadget of them on i Google. Finally in my Fun & Games tab, I have all different kinds of educational and normal games. I set my Fun & Games tab up like that is because if I wanted to play games I could just go to the tab. Also I did not want my games mixed up with my Home and School tabs. In this screenshot I have 2 of my 5 apps I added. That 1 is voice-thread. Voice thread is where you can insert Images, Documents, Presentations, and Videos. Using any mix of text such as a Webcam, Microphone, Audio File, or Telephone you are able to have conversations and make comments. The 2 is Google Maps. Google Maps is basically like a map where you can search different places in the world. In this screenshot I the last 3 of my 5 apps is here. The 3 are Easy bib Google Reader, and Quick note. Easy bib is where you can create a bibliography of all you work cited. In that application you can also create projects to insert you work. Google Reader is where keep track of your favorite Websites and where you Subscribe to them. Whenever new information is posted it goes to your Google Reader and works like a magazine. Finally Quick note is an app where you can write notes or information. It is helpful to use is because when you need to write something fast before you forget it, Quick Note is write there.
